June Events at The Hub on Canal

WHAT/WHO: 1st Saturday Art Stroll from one end of Canal Street to the other, including local artists represented at The Hub on Canal. Opening of the June exhibition featuring artists, Betty Parker and Nancy Charles presenting an exhibition entitled Works on Paper.

The artwork by Betty Parker is a reflection of recent travel and cultural events. It represents experiences of openness and reactions upon witnessing new and surprising occurrences.  Sometimes when creating these pictures, marks or images would appear giving new direction to the composition. The artist often followed the impulse to change and was happier with the new direction it took.

Nancy Charles states that the inspiration for her art has always come from nature with its constant energy and infinitely changing moods and colors. She finds herself repeatedly drawn to that energy and hopes the feeling it evokes in will be conveyed through her work.
