Veteran’s Day 2016

As we grow older Veteran’s Day changes. My brother is a Veteran, my fiance is a Veteran, many of my friends are Veterans. Many of them have passed away. When my children were little I took them every year to the local Memorial Day and the Veteran’s Day ceremonies is our community. My kids are not little anymore, they both have jobs and other things going on. I hope by dragging them to those events I helped them learn a little about history and what it means to be in the military in this great country.

We just finished a miserable election cycle that still has people in a tizzy. Today, let’s put that aside and take a minute to thank our Veteran’s. They are the reason we have an election cycle to be upset (or happy) about!
